Representative Lori has been a resident of Constantine for 32 years, and graduated from Centreville High School. His education credentials include Michigan Certified Police Officer status (1980), B.A. in Public Administration from WMU, and he is a graduate of the FBI National Academy (156th Session).

He joined the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Office in 1979 starting as a Corrections Officer, later joining the Road Patrol, and becoming Undersheriff in 1988. In 1989 he was elected Sheriff and maintained that role until 2008 prior to joining the Legislature on 1/1/09.

He was a member of a national group of law enforcement officers who went into the Hurricane Katrina area to help rebuild home. His major interests legislatively rest with maintaining strong law enforcement, health care, safe productive educational environments and attracting jobs to Southwest Michigan.

He has always been proud to live and work in Southwest Michigan and feels that the state will overcome our economic problems and make Michigan a national leader once again.

Representative Lori has been married to his wife Linda for thirty one years, and they have two adult sons, Luke and Ezra. Lori's hobbies include, antiques, jogging, playing basketball and travel.

He serves on the Michigan House of Representatives Appropriations Committee and three sub-committees: Agriculture (Minority Vice-Chair), Community Health and General Government.
